Description: DAILY HAPPENINGS HELPFnP-ia >This familiar scene takes place every other Tuesdayin the Quad Office. It is during this day that theQuad is distributed to its 2500 readers. The paperkeeps the school informed on the past, present andfuture events.U-School has several types of students. Left to rightare the studious type, the observant type, the hystericaltype, and the bewildered type.Convocations and the publication of theQuad were two of the many ways of informingthe students of happenings outside of theirregular curricular activities.Convocations were presented bi-weekly bycivic groups, students of Indiana University,clubs, and public service organizations.The Quad is the voice of the school, and itspublication was eagerly awaited by the students. Being on the Quad staff gave studentsvaluable experience in the printing of a newspaper.One of the many Convocations this year was provided by the Bloomington Fire Department. The newhook and ladder truck was displayed to the students as the opening of Fire Prevention Week was observedat U-School.> :*Page eight
