Its activitiesare varied and numerous. Sports activities includesoftball, basketball, volleyball, speedball, deck tennis,badminton, track, ping pong, shuffleboard, fieldhockey, and bowling. In addition, there are parties,picnics, play-nights and play-day visitations.GAA this year was very active. It sent two officersto the State GAA Camp at Delphi, Indiana, fortwo days early in the fall. During the year U-Schoolgirls traveled to Crawfordsville, Spencer, and Bloomington High School for play-days. There werenumerous picnics, parties, and an award-winner tea;all contributed to making this an all-around year forGAA.The governing body of GAA is the ExecutiveCouncil, which is composed of the sponsor, Mrs.Pat Hendrich, the officers, Sharon Wylie, president;Sarah Burke, vice-president; and Sue Ann Hays,secretary-treasurer, and the managers, Justine Dane,softball; Ann Moorman, volleyball; Leona Wallace,basketball; Martha Hoadley, shuffle board and ping-pong; Catherine Craig, badminton; Marilyn Mills,deck-tennis; Alice Strain, speedball; Margie Niles,bowling; Jean Gilmore, track, and Janet Rogers,hockey.Page seventy-two |
