Description:	On September 16, the Senior Class traveled to the EllettsvilleFall Festival in their handmade Conestoga wagon. What a day that waswith everyone getting sick on cotton candor and hot-dogs.At the Pie Supper, our next project, our stomachs were upset againfrom eating so many pieces of pie.Then came the first snow of the season. When snow comes to coverthe ground there is one thing we always think about. That, of course,is a sleigh ride. Everyone had the time of his life—that is untilBarbara Sluss tried to scrape a snow bank clean with her nose.Now as baccalaureate and commencement draw near we are lookingback on our school years wondering if we have left our job well done.Through thick and thin weve stayed together. Let’s hope that schoolsending doesnt sever our friendship and that, whatever our fame, wewill always be thankful for our opportunity of having been able tograduate from a free school in a free country.Erma SkirvinSCHOOL CALENDAR OF 1 9 5 0 - 5 1September1 After four months vacation, school reopened.3 Joe Thomans birthday.L The first legal day to skip school, Labor Day.6 Tommy McClarys birthday, how does it feel to be seventeen, Tom?19 Goldie Richardson reached the age of seventeen. The Juniors orderedtheir rings. We chose our invitations.22 Seniors traveled to Bloomington to have pictures taken.27 Bob McCoy is really getting old. He celebrated his seventeenthbirthday.29 Freshman initiation.October6 Immunization shots were given to small children.9 First grading period ended much to our surprises .11???10 Yell leaders were chosen for the season. Barbara Sluss is now seventeen.11 Seniors started selling advertisements.13 The P. T. A. held a Penny Supper in the gym.20 The Juniors gave their play Dollars To Doughnuts.23 Teachers institute at Indianapolis - - No school 1131 Spooks came through the rooms. Nobody could guess what they were.November1 Our first ball game was with Eminence. We won 1113 Our second ball game was with Helmsburg. We won ! I! 17 Election Day was held in the gym.8 The Seniors held in t10 Morgantown beat the Arrows.15 The Grade School Carnival.16 Erma Skirvin left home in a hurry and forgot the belt to her dress. Wetraveled to Bloomington for Chest X-ray. Farmers Institute met in thegym.17 Patricksburg ball game. We were beaten.21 Stinesville came over to beat us in a game of basketball.23 Thanksgiving vacation.27 Sometime in the night we were robbed by a sweet toothed bandit. Gradescame out again.28 Barbara Sluss came to school with a banged up face. How did she do it?It was heard she used her nose for a sled.29 The seniors decided to have a sleigh ride’party. The Home EconomicsRoom received a new Frigidaire.30 Mr. Breeden bought an adding machine for the bookkeeping class to use.30 Juniors received their rings.December1 Gosport ball game.6 Solsberry ball game. Seems we are not doing so well.
