Description:	Class Hi story-Continuedordering our invitations and name cards, we settled down to regularclass routine. We elected our class officers: Dale Stamper, President,Bill McClary, Vice-President, Don Brock, Secretary, and Dick Owens,Treasurer. We chose as our class motto, “Out of The Harbor IntoLife’s Deep Channel’’, and we selected a red rose for our flower. Westarted our year with Mrs. Mildred Butler as our sponsor. During thesecond semester she resigned and Mrs. Barbara Connor became oursponsor.Sunday, April twenty-fifth, at eight P. M. we held our Baccalaureateservices in the Gymnasium. Commencement exercises were held atthe Gymnasium on April twenty-eighth, at eight P. M.Classes of UHSThe Freshman is grassy and grows.The Sophomore is sassy and blows.The Junior is brassy and dozes.The Senior is classy and knows.Beginning Or The EndGosh, I’ve got troubles, don’t know what to doBob asked me to the prom but Jimmy did tooBob’s got the money, swell car and allBut Jimmy’s handsome and divinely tallThey both have good manners, right out of the bookThey’re full of “I thank you” and “how nice you look”If I had a penny, I’d settle it allBy giving it one toss and then watching it fallHeads would be Jimmy, tails would be BobBut getting nerve to do it is the real tough jobSomehow or other it doesn’t seem rightFor a penny to decide whom I’ll dance with all nightI’ve made up my mind and this choice I’ll keepExcuse me a moment, there goes the phoneBob’s sick in bed and has to stay homeI guess that leaves only one thing to doBesides Jim’s better looking and more fun too.
