Like the coral,we take the foundation of civilization built by the dead mussesof the people and do our bit to make a greater island. We owemuch to these people. Wo cannot;pay them back for they are nowdead. We can only pay them by adding something bf value tocivilization which may then be enjoyed by future generations.After all nc man has the right to use up the wealth .of theearth in living unless he gives back something. By studying itwe see the problems of the people of histcxy-; and we may gainan appreciation of their work and be led thereby to greater ef-. fort.
