Ournext game we were hosts to the Coal City Colts. Coach Fulford had some of his teamout of action, and the game was a runaway. The score read 76 to 52.It was then time for the Tri-County Tourney at the Martinsville High School Gym. We drewthe Eminence Eels in the second game on the first night. The boys were a little nervous andthe Eels were hitting very well, but the boys managed to win by a close score of 45 to 43.Then on Saturday we played the Smithville Skibos in the semis. The boys couldnt haveplayed a better game, but with Phil Wampler out of the tourney and a few bad breaks, we losta very hard fought game by the score of 47 to 45. Everybody was very proud of the boys andthey deserved it.Now that we have reviewed the season up to date, we cant forget the reserve team. Theyhave a very good second so far. I am sure we will see a lot of these boys in future years. There is another group of boys we cant forget. These are the Grade Team. These are theboys who will form a ball club in years to come.-S<This page sponsored by ROBERT STEWART SPEED SHOP42 |
