We are making houses,people, and animals like those found in the places we visit.We visited the “Land of the Midnight Sun’’ during January. Weenjoyed the Eskimo village we made very much.ANNA CARMICHAELFifth Grade TeacherThe fifth grade pupils are enjoying the subject of geography. Welike map study and map drawing. We sometimes make productmaps. We also like to give special reports on the industries ofdifferent states as we visit them on our plane trips. Several ofour class mates have visited interesting places in our countryand like to bring their souvenirs to the classroom for other pupilsto enjoy.ROBERT DECKARDSixth Grade TeacherThe sixth grade is studying Indiana History from the time Indianabecame a part of the Northwest Territory to the present time.We are very much interested in the stories of these people andplaces, because they are stories of people our ancestors mighthave known.37■
