Thewelcome was given by Robert Ingram and response was givenMonte Bryan, a young lawyer, played by John May, on receiptof a special delivery letter which he thought contained $5.00,gave this letter to Ervel Stone—G-eorge Pritchett—in paymentof a debt. Later Monte learned the letter contained $200.which he needed badly to take his rich girl friend, RubyGershwin—Mary Hays—to a ball.Monte and his girl friend spent an evening trying to chasedown the letter after Ervel lost it and it goes through thehands of several different persons before it is found. Finallyit is found and by that time Monte has decided he is in lovewith his secretary, Polly—Joyce Greene—and the money is spentfor their honeymoon instead of a ball.There are plots and counter plots played by funny characteristics such as Peggy—Helen Pennington—who gets her man Ervel;Angie—Louise Hill—the cleaning woman; John—William 7vrilkersonja mysterious electrician; Mrs. John Jacob Jasper—Edna Aynes—a divorcee on the trail of her husband; Mike—-Alex Ingram—thejanitor; and the waiter—Charles Butcher.TheSargent.
