The FlashBOY S C O U T S-Continued19-Pine Tree Patrol has maintained an interesting Bulletin Board in the upper corridor. The most valuable troop equipment added was our scaling wall. Thanks to the kindness of Mr. and Mrs. Roy Priceand the Scout Mothers, who bought the material, we have a splendid wall for this type of work.We are not unmindful of the support of all the scout mothers and dads and are looking forwardto a splendid year.The following scouts completed the Patrol Leaders Course and received their certificates: JohnKelly, P. A Girl Scout is Clean in Thought, Wordand Deed.In the fall of 1929 several girls met to form a scout troop in the Ellettsville High School. Severalgirls designated their intentions to be members but when the tests had been taken it was found thatsix girls had become Tenderfoot Scouts. They were Dorothy McHenry, Harriet Reeves, Harriet Curry, Opal Gooldy, Amelia Muir, and Mary Louise May.In February these girls were joined by Kathryn Stevens, Elizabeth Stevens, Janet Harris, and Virginia Mav.Miss Duley had served as Captain and Mrs. Lottie Neel has assisted her. They have taken severalenjoyable hikes accompanied by these as chaperones.They served the boy scout bean supper and assisted the boy scouts in serving a lunch at school onMarch 18, to help finance their part in the annual. |
