Description: 18The FlashBOY SCOUTSAmong our organizations we are glad to number Ellettsville Troop Number One of the White RiverArea Council Boy Scouts of America. The troop has three Eagle Scouts: John Kelly, Charles Price,and P. B. Arbogast. Two members are Life Scouts: Frederick V. Neel and Frederick G. Neel. Starrank is represented by Rex Matson, James Curry, Ralph Stevens, Billy Gooldy and Paul Litten.Troop members who are first class scouts are George Westfall and Milton Freeman. Second classmembers are Walter Wickens, Herman Gillispie, Kelsey Hawkins, Clifton Gillispie, Charles Baugh,and Erie Litten. John Stansbury, James South, Horace Maners, Wayne French, Marion Welch. Will-ard Elliott, Robert Van Dyke, Joseph Allen, Floyd Pfaff, Willard Olsson, Clarence Eakin, EdwardWickens, Richard Browning, Eugene Rice, and Maxwell Olsson are the tenderfoot members. A number are working on tenderfoot requirements and will be members soon.The boys have worked hard on their program of achievement. Many of them are accumulatingMerit Badges and all are looking forward to the time when they may be advanced to another rank.The officers of the troop are: Frederick G. Neel, Scout Master; P. B. Arbogast. Assistant ScoutMaster: Charles Price, Junior Assistant Scout Master; Frederick V. Neel, Senior Pr.trol Leader; JohnKelly, Scribe. The Patrol Leaders are Erie Litten, James Curry and Kelsey Hawkins.In order that its members may have the best in scouting, Troon One has taken an active nart inall county and area activities. A number of members have attended each of the three patrol leadersconferences held this year. We had a nice representation at the county round-up at which we placedfirst in pyramid building and second in wall scaling.During the year the troop has had a Father and Sons banquet and a dinner for their mother*.One Court of Honor has been held here. The bovs, co-operating1 with the Girl Scouts, served lunchat the school building to bolster their finances. They won a 100% attendance banner at the StateRound-Up at Indiana University last October.An interesting project has been the building uo of the Troop Museum.
