In thefall of 1928 she began the trial of grade andhigh school work.That Lois will send us the following letterseems rather certain.Toronto, CanadaApril 6, 1950Hello Irene:My lands, why didnt you warn me you weregoing to surprise me so with a letter? Any waywhen I left school I went to Franklin and got ajob in an office. I worked there two years andthen came back to Ellettsville and married Lee.We left for Canada immediately after our marriage. We live in a hotel as Lee owns the Central Hotel.We are very happy and have one little girlof which we are both very proud.Yours truly,LOIS LITTENNow Coleman has never liked plays.But mischief and fun he craves.Hes of the comedian type,And we all call him PipeHis humor he shows many ways.More has happened in Colemans history thanseems to be stated here.Coleman Freeman reluctantly came to schoolin the fall of 1918 at Ellettsville where he hasgone year after year till he has reached the lastyear of High School in 1930.Coleman and Gene were always partners infun so it doesnt seem at all queer that even in20 years we still find them together taking lifefree and easy.Hollywood, CaliforniaApril 5, 1950Well here we are:Since you wished to hear something about uswe decided that it would be best to let you knowas we hate to disappoint anybody.We left school with the idea of going to California. We had no definite position in mind butwhen we arrived at Hollywood we decided to trythe Movies. Gene said since I was so comical inmy school days that I should try for the comicpictures. Well, I tried and after much work andpractice I succeeded and am considered now asa second Charlie Chaplin.Gene worked hard and became the shiek ofHollywood. He has been married three timesand is engaged now to Loretta Young who hasdivorced Grant Withers.
