Description:	The 2012 girls tennis varsity line-up consisted of:Shelby Williamson (one singles), Tyla Holmes (twosingles), Shelby Vaughn (three singles), BekahDouglas and Brandi Wilcoxen (one doubles), andMichaela Pie and Kendallyn Thummel (twodoubles). The girls became closer as a team thanever before, which proved to be helpful on the court.The girls finished out their season with a record of5-1 in conference, good enough for second place inthe WIC. Two girls, Tyla Holmes and ShelbyVaughn, attended the All-Conference banquet.During the regular season, they defeated BNL forthe first time in the history of Edgewood girls tennis.The team rounded out the season with a record of9-7, which proved to be the most successful recordthat girls tennis has had for a while. Like the boysteam, tbe girls will forever remember getting stuckon the side of the highway when the mini bus brokedown. They were stranded for a while before Mr.Ackerman had to come and rescue them. And noneof these girls will ever forget team huddles with peptalks from Mr. Talbert. His message was alwaysabout Keeping it frosty, and this season, the girlsdid just that.mm\l
