But senior JoshHalstead can tell stories about his 11-day stay inBrazil and ambitions after graduation.Halstead, one of four male varsity cheerleaders, became a stuntman when another cheerleader asked him to.She knew I took gymnastics and heck, whocan turn down a cheerleader? said Halstead.In September, Halstead went to Brazil topick up his brother who was living there at thetime. Brazil was real different. It changes youroutlook because of the poverty level, he said. I walked through some ghettos that made L.A.look like Ellettsville. I even got shot at.Joshs typical day includes sleeping at school,eating, hanging out with friends, lifting weightsand using his favorite phrase, kids these days.After graduation Halstead plans to try out fora cheerleading scholarship to either IndianaUniversity or Indiana State University.JV |
