This years LadyMustang team had the talentand consistency to do whatthey do best. And do it theydid. Exploding into the season,the first nine games weremarked up with Ws. Along theway they won the ColumbusEast tournament for the fourthstraight year and eventuallythe WCC and Sectionals for thethird straight year. But howcould you expect anythingelse? These girls have basketball in their blood. The fivesenior starters have been playing together ever since sixthgrade. Everyone did their joband did it well. Joni Brown andRachelle Chambers teamed uptheir shooting, Amber Stubble-field helped with a little outside shooting and lots of rebounding along withStephanie Zapfe and Traci Dot-terer. And lets not forget theunderclassmen who came offthe bench to show off exceptional young talent that willkeep girls basketball excitingfor years to come. Althoughthey had a disappointing timeat their first Hall of Fame Classic they finished the season20-5.Guard Rachelle C. dribbles aroundher opponent to move in for aneasy two points.Row 1: R.
