Description: miz>* ,&sg»*?,^r m^v \°Its worth taking the challengeIn the science and math departments, there are many options. Thevarieties range from Biology and Pre-Algebra to Physics and AdvancedMath. With all these variations, itshard to get all the classes one wants. These two departments are the onlyones where people can double up.Doubling up is taking two classeslike Algebra II and Trigonometry atthe same time. That makes a real toughschedule, but its something that whenone gets into it, it becomes very informative and interesting. They may have differences, but science and math are needed for each other. Together they both lead to newareas of study like computer-science.These areas expand so much in suchlittle time its hard to keep up. Manystudents keep up with the programsthrough the science fair and other competitions. Its too bad that everyoneisnt so talented in math and science.Once again the science fair driftedby us this spring. Many students put alot of hard work and time into theirprojects. For one person, this time andwork really paid off. Cindy Rambo waschampion over the whole Science fair. The project that came through forCindy was an experiment with antacids and stomach acids. In the abovephoto, Cindy is being congratulated byMr. Mitchell in front of the project.Through her project, she found outthat Rolaids isnt exactly #1, Mylantawon over all.Jan Heitinks project paid off also. His experiments with toothpastes andfluoride became Cindys runner-up.Many other awards and ribbons weregiven out with not as much notice. However, their achievements enabledthem to have the thrill of competition.Looks like Dawn made another mistake.Todd and Stacey are having a wonderful timewith the science experience.42 Academicsm
