Could this be the next Cover girl face?Youre the teacher Jay! You say something intelligent!Students Sizzleand Fizzlewith EnergyEmotions are mixed among the students and faculty. Everyone seems to behaving different feelings about the newschool, new lockers, the new attendancepolicy, different locations for offices andclassrooms, the new parking lot and newrules. The newness of the building excites me, but the problems it sometimescauses, such as parking and entering thebuilding really get to me, comments junior Andrea Cooper.One particular bothersome rule is thenew attendance policy, students are notallowed to miss more than eight days persemester. Sometimes this meant comingto school even when we didnt feel like it.The many ideas that have been expressed on the policy range from beingdumb and uneeded to very helpful.The confusion brought on by the newconstruction and new building oftencauses students to react in a strange anddifferent manner. Senior Beth Robinsonused a little red wagon to carry her booksaround because the senior lockers werent installed yet.Other students did an experiment tosee how long it would take a constructionworker to discover his hammer was missing.Despite the distractions the construction causes presently, our school will be amuch better learning institution in thenear future. |
