But we Mustangs just lookat it as a challenge. One new piece this yearwas the combining of the Homecoming Parade with the Sesquicentennial Parade, andeven though it was tough to accept wecharged ahead and even had fun in thesuccessful event. Another new piece wasfitted into the puzzle when the school hourswere changed. Now students have to get upearlier, but can go home sooner. JuniorKristy Hawkins says, It really doesnt bother me, because I like getting out earlier afterschool. I can fit in more activities like softballand drama and still have time to work a fewhours at the Hut. And, finally, one piece ofour puzzle provided a learning experiencefor the seniors. They learned about the democratic process when the school board voteddown their graduation at the Indiana University Auditorium. They stood up for theirrights, making themselves heard throughoutthe school and town. In the end they won.Its all these added pieces that makeEdgewood a better place to be.divider
