Certain requirements have to bemet which are very demanding.As a high school student, grades are important toward ones future. Meeting therequirements, a junior must have at least a3.5 grade average or 3.5 as a senior. At leastthree community activities must have beencompleted.Each fall and spring more initiates aretapped. The ceremonial initiation consistsof the wearing of robes. They light the candles of knowledge and are awarded a goldsash which makes them honorary members.Many scholarships, such as the John W.Beckly Scholarship, are funded by N.H.S.,along with many annual activities such asthe Stinesville and Ellettsville Elementaryspelling bees.Scott gives the invocation64 |
