The Edgewood Marching Mustang Band, under the able direction of Mr. James Thrasher,is one of our most active groups. Besides performing during the school year, the bandrehearsed two nights a week during the summer. During the summer, the bands performances included: marching at the Owen County Fair, the American Legion Convention at Indianapolis, and placing in the top half of the bands in competition at the Indiana State Fair Band Day.As school began, the bands pace picked up, with concert and marching appearances atthe Community Fun Festival. Edgewoods band was also in attendance at Indiana Universitys High School Band Day. This year also marked the first time the band hasever marched at a football game. The Pep Band or Marching Band provide entertainment at all of Edgewoods home basketball games.Another active segment of the Mustang band is the Dance Band. They produced aVariety show for the Community Fun Festival, entertained at the Fall Athletic Banquet, performed for an All-School Convocation, and represented the instrumental musicdepartment by performing at Edgewoods Open House during National Education Week.Jliarcninq faiastanas Stepoat for Slate [fair Growoii |
