Description: Chris S. stretches for a long jumpJeff H. flys by to qualify for sectionalsMustangs SendFour to StateOur Edgewood Mustang track teamstarted off great and became even better.School records were set throughout theyear with Mike Fiddler in the 200M withthe time of 21.9, and the 400M Relay team,which consisted of teammates: Chris Stillions, Mike Fiddler, Eric Mobley andBrad Wickens.Many individuals practiced long hours toachieve their own personal goals. As a resultmany members beat their personal recordsfrom previous years.Individuals honored at the award presentation included: Mike Fiddler — Captain, Jim Tindal — Most Valuable, andChris Stillions — Most Improved.We went undefeated during the regularseason, running away with the Mitchell Invitational. The only loss came during theirmost challenging meet for the West CentralConference title; which ended in a tie forfirst with South Putnam.Our Mustang team took a record setting21 members to Sectionals. Placing secondproved they were working hard against thecompetition.Several shined on into Regionals. Thoseincluded were both the 400M and 1600MRelay teams, Brad Wickens in the 100Mand the 200M with Mike Fiddler in the200M as well, Jim Tindal in the 400M andGreg Hottell in long distance.Four Mustangs earned the privilege ofgoing to the IHSAA State Meet: JimTindall, David Terrell, Jeff Hudson,and Mike Fiddler for the 1600M Relay.Mike Fiddler also went in the 200M.Ending the season with a 12-1 record wasno easy task, but the Mustangs camethrough with the winning tradition that hascontinued to characterize Edgewood trackover the years.•siBrad W. blows by for another blue ribbon.boys track65■■■■■■■■■■■■■■■iImmsm
