After much careful planning,ground-breaking ceremonies were held on January27, 1964, and thereafter construction steadily progressed until a year later, on January 25, 1965, thestudents and faculty moved into their new home.Dedication ceremonies and an open house were onMay 2, 1 965.The beautiful Indiana limestone structure designedfor a maximum enrollment of 900 sits on the crownof a hill overlooking seventy-two acres of land. Theapproach is by a driveway landscaped with anavenue of newly planted trees and leads to parkingareas accommodating 700 cars. Facilities includetwenty-seven classrooms with physics, chemistry,foreign language, and home economics laboratories;woodworking, metalcraft, and auto mechanics shops;art room, library with 780 square feet of shelf area;music practice rooms; and a combination cafetorium,auditorium, and student center. Modern audio-visualequipment is available, including a television outletto each classroom.
