His music appeals to a wider groupof people, even though I like Lordes album better.freshman Casey Thomas onEd Sheeran took home two Grammys this year for both of the categories he wasnominated for. He won Best Pop Vocal Album with his newest album, Divide, andBest Pop Solo Performance for Shape of You. The singers wins have caused a lotof debate over whether he should have won. Freshman Casey Thomas weighed in,saying, I think that Ed Sheeran is a very good artist and I love his music, however Ido feel that there were some other artists out there that probably should have wonit, like Kendrick Lamar.sophomore Sierra Rodgers on Alessia CardAlessia Cara made her Grammy Red Carpet debut this year. The breakout artistscored her first win and now holds the title of Best New Artist. I think Alessia Caradeserved to win, noted sophomore Sierra Rodgers. Shes just so down to earth,and humble, and I loved her singing How Far Ill Go from Moana. Alessia hadthree other nominations: Song of the Year for 1-800-273-8255, Best Music Videoalso for 1-800-273-8255, and Best Pop Duo/Group performance for Stay.sophomore Andrew Payne on Kendrick LamarKendrick Lamar made a statement at this years Grammys by winning four out ofseven nominations.
