In November of 2017, fortheir 15th production, theyperformed the play Rumors. The comedic play followscharacters at a dinner partyat which a jumble of lies andsecrets are told in order tocover up the fact that thehost has shot his own ear andthe hostess is nowhere to befound.Co-director seniorMaureen Lynch found takingpart in this show to be one ofthe best experiences she hashad, despite it being her firsttime acting and directing.Lynch had such a wonderfultime with this show becauseshe liked how it was awhirlwind show whereeverything went wrong but inspite of that it made it fun!68Xander DammerFreshmanLynch like theplot of the story, anddirecting, but she also lovedthe people she got to workwith. She also said, it wouldnot have happened withoutthem. During one of theperformances, Lynchs skillswere put to the test when shehad to quickly learn lines andfill in for the lead actorbecause he lost his voice.Director senior AlexanderRussel also acted anddirected at the same time. The hardest part for him wasmemorizing both (his) linesand making sure everyone(else) was memorizing theirlines. He also worked hard atgetting people tounderstand what I was tellingthem to do. Although it washard work, Russel loved toget to see how the showcame together in the end!-Emiko McClaineJunior Samantha Dennis (CookieCusack) and Junior Eli Chafin(Lennie Ganz) on stage,Dennis enters the stage withher husband in the play, seniorSummer Quade (Ernie Cusack).Director and lead in the playsenior Alexander Russell (KenGorman) reciting a line.photos by Natalia Kropf-Estell |
