Description: FALL SPORTSathletic accomplishmentsThis year, athletes in all sports used momentum to run faster, hit harder, go farther, andachieve more than they ever had before. Some teams went on to beat records andshatter misconceptions, gaining momentum throughout their season. Those athletes andteams that accomplished much this fall are featured here and in other future pages,along with those teams that will continue to create more momentum to reach their goalsand aspirations in the future. Whether dreams were fulfilled or not, all teams hadsomething to be proud of: They were a part of a legacy of Bloomington South athletics;no small feat at all.;-The girls volleyball team had a winningrecord this year, going 20-1 1 in theregular season. One of the mostmemorable wins was beatingBloomington North. The girls also placecsecond in Conference Indiana, needingonly one more win to clinch first place.The junior varsity team had a record of1 7-1 and the freshman team had arecord of 15-1.VOLLEYBALLFOOTBALLThe boys of fall had a great season witha record of 4-7, which is as many winsas in the past three seasons combined.The South football boys even beatMartinsville, a ranked team, in thepostseason to go to the secondround of Sectionals. The junior varsityteam had a record of 2-7 and thefreshman team had a record of 3-6.
