A participant in the IndianaUniversity Honors Program in Foreign Language (IUHPFL), Lin lived in Brest, France for seven weeks over the summer in order to immerse herselfin the culture and the language. JAZZOn August 23, CultureFest, part of IndianaUniversitys Welcome Week, set the academic yearin motion — literally. With salsa dancing, henna andinternational cuisine, CultureFest showcased thevariety of cultures that abound in Bloomington to anaudience that included incoming freshmen, IUupperclassmen and even high school students. Theculture fest was a perfect example of the culturaldiversity in Bloomington, said senior GraceBuchan.
