Of those four wins, three wereshutouts in which the JVs outscoredtheir opponents 1 24-0.In the opener the Panthersdefeated Shelbyville 7-6. The teamcontinued its winning ways againstColumbus North, trouncing the Bulldogs 27-0.The squad posted its secondstraight shutout by overwhelming theTerre Haute North Patriots 50-0.South then lost its first game, a 32-1 4decision at the hands of Terre HauteSouth. The JVs bounced right back,however, and obliterated Mitchell 47-0.The season ended in a disappointing fashion. Lawrence Central beatthe Panthers 1 2-2, and crosstownrival North handed South a 31-14defeat.The freshman team finished with a0-3-2 record.The freshmen started with two ties.The frosh battled a tough Southportsquad to a 22-22 tie. A hard-foughtgame with Bloomington North endedin a 6-6 deadlock. Losses were toBedford, 18-0, and Terre HauteNorth, 14-6.
