Description: I!(grad) party itAnnouncements are handedout, envelopes are licked, andgrocery stores are leftdesolate in preparation fornot the graduation, but theparties. Planning the perfectparty requires a lot ofanswers - vanilla or chocolatecake? DJ or self-madeplaylist? Afternoon orevening? Photo booth or selfiestick on display?A popular move was tojoin forces and families toplan a graduation party.Senior Quintin Despiritojoined with three of hisfriends and threw a jointparty at the Fountain SquareMall. We had appetizers andcandy and punch fountain,Despirito said. Id say wehad a pretty good turn out, too. For Despirito andfriends, the joint party allowedfor shared responsibility inhosting and party planning.Senior Alissa Adersenjoyed co-hosting hergraduation party as well. Wehad yard games, music andgreat food, Aders said. Wehad amazing picture boardsthat documented ourchildhoods as well as ourfriendship. Aders also chosethe most opportune time tohold her party: the day beforegraduation from five oclockto nine oclock. This time wasone of the best because notmany people had plans, andthe time range was wideenough to cater to those whowork or may have had otherparties they needed to attend.Another importantdecision that graduation partyplanning brought was whetherto rent a venue or open upthe graduates house toguests. Bonfires and cookoutsare crowd pleasers. Grills caneasily accomodate largecrowds. Senior ZechariahHenderson hosted hisgraduation party at home, complete with a cookout andbonfire that followed. Thephoto booth was a hit, andeveryone loved the bonfire,Henderson said. But thenagain, who doesnt love agood bonfire? The planning and attending ofgraduation parties wasbittersweet this year, as itusually is. The hype andexcitement that surroundedGraduation party!planning is aboutvariety, fun, and easefor parents and!graduates alike.I. Photo boards are a partynecessity to document theprogress a graduate has made. Tomake them more fun, somegraduates opt to make the boardsthe number of their class. PHOTOBY BAILEY BOLER II.
