Heres how theopinions added up.70 students were polled for thissurveyor! November 141529I. Stepp Cemetery, located in Monroe-Morgan Forest near Martinsville has been around since the1800s. Rumored to be haunted, the cemetery has become a popular ghost-hunting location.Sophomores Lily Bruce and Lauren Moore visisted the cemetary around Halloween as a way tobe festive. II. Although most graves date back to the 1800s, people still come to pay theirrespects by leaving flowers and trinkets. III. This headstone is one of the better looking ones stillstanding from the 1870s. Many headstones had names that were too weathered to be legible. IV.Being a familial cemetery, it is still in use today, but very few graves have been added in thiscentury. Individual families often had graves in a row such as this.
