Galvinbreathed a sigh of relief when he wasaccepted to Wabash right afterChristmas.In contrast to Galvin, seniorCaitlin Withnell only applied to onecollege: Indiana University. Withnellsent in her application in October, andshe did not wait long for anacceptance letter. Withnell washappy I applied early [because] itallowed Indiana University to get backwith me sooner.With one of the longestapplication to-do lists, senior ConnorCrowley applied to a staggering 14colleges. Crowley selected schoolswith reputable engineering programs,such as Purdue, Massachusetts Instituteof Technology, Harvard, Yale andPrinceton.To apply for each of thesecolleges, Crowley, like Galvin,completed the Common Application,which required around two essays aswell as additional supplementalessays. Although Crowley workedsteadily throughout the year, he stillfound himself in a bit of a crunch,finishing essays on Christmas day. Heexpected to hear back from theuniversities in late March. Senior Connor Crowley reviews his college board, whichoutlines basic information about each of his fourteen collegepicks. Crowley worked with a college counselor, who firstadvised him to create a chart in order to clarify all of thestatistics. 2. Senior Conor Galvin logs onto his CommonApplication account to edit essays. The website was used bythe majority of colleges and universities and provided asimple, streamlined way to apply. Broderickdebuted a few new original songs at theevent. 6. Maria Sarah Lysandrou, sisterof juniors Padraig and HelenaLysandrou, sings for the crowd.
