I used to be a big soccer and tennis guy butsince I had a size 12 in the sixth grade, it was hard to find cleats big enough for me.Q: What advice would you give to players wanting to continue on playing in college?A: Be serious about the sport and out work everyone. I always think to myself whenever Im notworking, someone else could be working harder. This makes me want to push myself even more.thats theThe 2009-2010 Bloomington Southboys basketball season broughtan energized student section toevery game. Seniors throughfreshmen all came together tosupport the team. The energy andexcitement during each gamecreated a competitive atmospherefor both athletes and fans alike.Senior Carson Otter took it uponhimself to organize the studentsection. We thought that having atheme for each home game madeour student section look more likea unified group, said Otter.For each home game, atheme was assigned. Otterencouraged fans to dress up inwild costumes according to theouths student section steppedp to support the boysasketball team.specmc tneme for a certain game.There were a variety of themes.Fellow senior Andrew Wolin said,Toga Night, Revenge of theNerds, Tacky Christmas Sweaters,Retro Night, Thanksgiving, TwinNight, and Redneck Night weresome of the few themes held. Myfavorite theme was theThanksgiving Pilgrims and Indiansbecause it was the first game andit was very high energy and I gotto dress up like a pilgrim. Otteradded that his favorite was Toganight. Toga Night was a classic. Inever thought Id get to see thatmany people in togas before Iwent to college in one place, butwe did it,Otter created a Facebookgroup online for the season andsent out messages tocommunicate with everyone.These events let everyone knowthe date, time, and theme for theupcoming game. Many studentsfound this method very helpfulwhen it came to getting theinformation about future themes.Otter had help creating thethemes for each game.
