EIUhad offered Parker a full-ride scholarship that was worth over $31,000 a year. I chose EIU because it best fitathletically and academically, and they arent shy to play young kids, said Parker. Parker had been on .Bloomington Souths varsity girls basketball team for four years, which had prepared her for college ball.South basketball has helped every aspect of my game, especially my ball handling and shooting, saidParker. This will help me play different positions at EIU. Parker was a little bit nervous to play collegebasketball, but was also really excited. She advised the team and incoming players to always work hard, put .in the extra hours and listen to the coach. Hard work pays off.-KAYLA HART
