Born inCalifornia, senior KeaganVaughan moved to Bloomington tolive closer to family. Although bothled different lives before theycame to Bloomington, on a farmand in Hollywood, they becamethe best of friends. Boyle andVaughan lived across the streetfrom each other in Arden Place.They walked to Childs Elementarytogether every year, rode the busto Jackson Creek, then later toBloomington South, and carpooledwhen Vaughan could drive.They first met when Boyleentered Vaughans garage andasked him to play. Ever since thatmoment they became the best offriends. We do everythingtogether, Vaughan proclaimed.Boyle put a finer point on it:Were like brother and sister.Through the years, thefriends had many adventures,including traveling all over theUnited States with Bloomingtonsbicycle club, Decycles. During thesummer of 2009, they visitedVaughans family in Ireland. Notonly were Boyle and Vaughan bestfriends, but their families hadgrown to love each other as well.m |
