Our meetings are fun, said freshman ErinAnderson. We talk about important things butwe still try to make them fun. Club meetingswere spent discussiing current topics dealingwith the GLBT community. Although meetingswere often serious, they were still lighthearted.The club accepts and supports differences andindividuality, and it touches on topics regarding lifestyles which are not always properlyaddressed or supported, said junior AdamSteigerwald, a supporter of P.R.O.U.D. The topics addressed dug beneath societys topsoil.P.R.O.U.D.s environment is really important,said sophomore John Head. I dont thinkenough people care about it—its there tomake people aware. The club strived to createa positive, sensitive environment for all of itsmembers.Below: Mrs. Carla Gardner, sponsor of P.R.O.U.D., leads a discussionwith juniors Adam Steigerwald and , senior Gina Eastwood, Jurion Jaffey, a club commmuter from Bloomington private school,Harmony, and other P.R.O.U.D. members at the clubs last meeting.
