Whether it was aboutschool, family, or her illness she was always extremely upbeat and that was contagious. - Mrs. Beth WolfeBarb was a good friend of my moms before I was born so Ive known her all my life. When I think of Barb,I think of a person who always had a smile on her face. She was someone I could go to if I needed help withanything or just someone to talk to. And while I never had her as a teacher in the classroom, she nevermissed a chance to teach. - Junior Emily EberleWhen (think about Barb Cooksey, (think about what a great mother she was to her daughters, and what agreat support she provided to them. She was also a great department chair, getting us anything we neededand providing open communication between the administration. She had the shortest departmental meetingsin the school! She was a great lady and we will miss her tremendously. - Ms. Jody DuncanOur community lost a very special person in Mrs. Cooksey. She was a guiding light for our students and staff.If we all fried to be as unselfish as she was, Cm sure our world would be an even more wonderful Place to be.Thank you Barb for sharing your life with us and may God bless you and your family. - Mr. Paul FarmerMrs. Cooksey was one of the kindest people ( have ever met. She was so dedicated to her work anddaughters. She loved the wafer, the lake, the ocean, and flowers. Coming out of a private school, if was hard toadjust to a high school, but Mrs. Cooksey was a huge help. She was a very kind and gentle person who I willalways love and appreciate. She will be greatly missed. - Senior Ryan BearschBarb Cooksey took great delight in sharing the many successes of her daughters. Her face would beam withexcitement and pride as she talked about their accomplishments. She was a role model for me. (f (could behalf as successful both professionally and personally as Barb, (would consider myself blessed. - PrincipalMark FletcherMrs. Cooksey was dedicated to supporting her family in all aspects of their life. She was a good mother, andwould do anything for her girls. We shared many soccer moments together and talked endlessly about ourdaughters. ( see that life can fake unexpected turns, and one must make the most of life and (will really missher. - Parent Char WozniakMrs. Cooksey was an awesome person. She expected excellence out of herself and her students. If she gotanything else she was unsatisfied. She was so loving and caring and I hope that her replacement is even just alittle like her, but that will be hard to do. Even though Mrs. Cooksey was never my teacher, she still greatlyimpacted my life. - Sophomore Derek ArthurWorking with Mrs. Cooksey was a great experience. Always upbeat and fun loving, she would make greatcontributions in developing new lessons. She was a wonderful role model with her never-ending positiveattitude. If is not possible to put info words how much she will be missed here at South. She certainly made adifference in the lives of her students and fellow teachers. - Ms. Barb SealBarb was the type of person that you could trust with anything. She taught me a lot about how to be a goodfriend and what if fakes to be a good parent.
