Bloomington High School South, The Gothic, 2004, Page 40

Description: Story by Trey LockerbieRustling through the hectic crowd, junior Danilo Caceres has trouble finding his locker. There should be some kind of traffic system in these hallways, maybe like yellow lines orsomething so people dont keep running into me. Caceres said. The hallways were verycrowded for people mostly because of the large freshman class that came in this year. You can barely see five feet in front of you. Many times it made me late to some of myclasses, junior Jacquelyn Ingram said. It got kind of better towards the end of the yearbecause a lot of the seniors graduated early so that freed up some space in the hallways.Although some space cleared up, the big crowds in the hallways seemed to take up a lot ofthe staircases and build up long lines to get up them. Sometimes it would take me a wholefive minutes to get to the third floor from the first, sophomore Sam Haury said. Senior SamGieryn agreed with Haury and added, Yeah, and the thing that annoyed me the most wouldbe when a big group would be in front of you when youre walking and all of the sudden juststop. Id almost run into them every time and you couldnt get around them! The hallways never got to a point where it caused any severe injuries or accidents, but youhad to watch your step, otherwise you might end up getting trampled.Students made their way down the PRIDEhallway during a passing period. Plenty ofstudents congregated in large groupswhich clogged the halls and made it harderto get around them, (right)40 acatemics
