The theme of thedance was aholiday/millennium idea.However, toattend thisdance, studentshad to follow adress code. Mr.Matt Hoagland,social studies,said it was Anopportunity tomake theoccasion a littlenicer. It wasntanything toostrict, just anice outfit; nicejeans were evenallowed. It did not end upbeing a big deal. Those whowere not dressed goodenough went home, changedand then came back. Thedance had a great outcome.The dress code did notaffect students views of thedance. I heard there was adress code, but thats not abig deal. I like to dress up,junior Katie Martin said.Martin also commented thatthe recent music that wasplayed made the whole dance... the lastdance ...was thebest andmostpeacefulmoment.come together.The music played seemedto be the high point of thedance. The DJ was good.During the last danceeveryone was quiet andcalmed down. This was thebest and mostpeacefulmoment, seniorCrystalKermmoade said.At the sametime, the dancewas not what allstudentsexpected. Thelocation and thedecorationsdisagreed withsome. The dancejust lookedthrown together,and it did notseem like anyeffort was putforward. The spot of thedance could have been betterif the decorations hadcovered the cafeteria upmore. junior Zach King said.The outcome of the dancewas important for theSophomore Advisory Board,who sponsored the dance.Sophomore Advisory Boardmember Kristin Kovach said,A lot of people showed upfor the dance, which is goodbecause the money will gotoward Prom next year.Justin BanksWhile juniors Whitney Hanna and Aimee Blunk and sophomore AshleyFarrell wind their way through the crowd, the song YMCA plays. Thedance was held in the school cafeteria.Mixed in the crowd at the Winter Semi-Formal, sophomores VickyEdens, Marcie Fry and Emily Radke dance.
