We stilltrained a lot though, so I dontthink it made much of adifference, freshman StevieKinser said.winning the rivalryAfter seven years, the teamdefeated Bloomington North by amargin of 15 points.I dont think it was reallybeating North that was important.We all have friends on the (North)team, so winning was not asimportant as doing well,freshman Monica Behney said.coaching changeGlen Stidd, who was the highjump coach the previous year,became the new head coach of theteam.It definitely had an impact onthe way the team was run. Stiddwas very fond of team meetings;we had them almost every day. Heput a lot of enthusiasm into theteam, as well as time and effort,which had a positive effect on theteam, senior Megan Thibos said.higher hurdlingThis season, the hurdles in the100m hurdles were raised to 33inches, 3 inches higher than inprevious years.In practice we worked a lotmore on form because it matteredmore because it was higher. Itslowed most girls times down.Coach Williams thought it wouldslow the fast girls down becausethey had to have good form. Hethought it would help me because Ihave good form but its hard tothree step.
