But with the satisfaction of successcame some necessary adjustments for the girls. With four seniorsgraduating, there was a need for leadership to help encouragenew freshman members and motivate the veteran Poms.We needed leadership on this squad and since our leadersfrom last year graduated, Kejal and Jacyln stepped up,sophomore Kristin Kearney said. Knowing that they wanted tohave new uniforms to perform their dances in, the squadparticipated in several fundraisers. They hosted car washes at PizzaHut, sold their old uniforms and held a mini-poms camp inwhich they helped instruct elementary students on how to dance.Team experiences left most participants with positive memories.Ill never forget my first season on the Pom Squad.
