But we were askilled team and finally showedit more in the end of theseason, senior Jon Herr said.Before the team got off thebus for every away match, theywould play Get Your Roll Onby the Big Tymers formotivation.The whole team would puttheir hands in the air and gettheir roll on. It got us pumpedand got us ready to play, seniorMike Tresslar said.ShowdownIn the opening match of theHoosier Cup, the team had atough Friday match againstAvon. Avon put in a goal early,but on a quick restart, seniorLoren Stumpner played athrough ball to junior Will Reed,who broke ahead of the Avondefense and fired the ball intothe corner of the goal.There were a lot of peoplethere, and it was real rowdy. Weknew they were a good teamand wanted to show that wewere capable of playing withthem, junior Ryan McElhinneysaid.The captains for the teamwere seniors Matt Bradford,Loren Stumpner and Pete Hallas voted by their teammates.The captains led stretches andpre-game warm-ups, and helpedtheir teammates throughout theseason.We had a good group ofcaptains, and they were alwayspushing us to play our best andgive it our all.
