Thejunior class really dida good job decoratingand planningeverything out,junior Brad Garrisonsaid.The DJ provided avariety of musicsuitable for dancing,and students couldbring their own CDsto play.This year havinga DJ was great.Everyone seemed toenjoy the music andhad a great timedancing. The onlyproblem was that itwas way too hot,sophomore BrandiMay said.The music came toa stop around 11p.m. for the crowningof the king andqueen. All of thecourt members metat the top of the thirdfloor to watch JoeyMackey be crownedking and AlyssaHouze, queen.Students joined in asthe new queen andking dancedtogether.It was really coolto have so manystudents vote for meas king. It was reallykind of embarrassing, though,because Alyssa and Istarted dancingbefore the musiceven came on, juniorJoey Mackey said.The prom endedat midnight, andmany studentsheaded for the post-prom party hosted bythe junior classparents at the IUMemorial Union.I was prettyimpressed by thedecorations at postprom, and I think alot of people had abetter time than lastyear.
