Sara Bosin and Heather Galloway turn downthe beach for a relaxing vacation in Montana.A little bit of R & RAfter Christmas break many students seem to think about nothingelse except for how many more daysuntil spring break. This year, As wedrove south, we all seemed to missthe sight of three foot high snowbanks and semi trucks sliding off theroad right in front of us. But wefigured we could deal with the 80degree temperature and blaring sunlight in Fort Myers Beach, reflectsLexie Topolgus. Daytona Beach, was a blast! according to SteveSchroeder. It may seem like it, but not everyone goes to Florida for springbreak. Zak Hawkins was one of thosepeople. Spring break was great. Forthe first four days we just wanderedaround Kentucky and Tennessee. Then we went up to see the GratefulDead in Chicago, he said.Hank Selke chose to rough it forthe week in the mountains. We wentdown to Smokey Mountain NationalPark in Tennessee where we had afun time climbing and hiking. It wasa nice change from the usual Floridaspring break.Overall, this years spring break wasperhaps more enjoyable than the previous year because of better weatherand not having regular classes because of intersession.Mandy Rollins, Kim Palmer, and LindsayCappy set out for a ride on their jet skiis.Sun, a beach, volleyball—what more couldthey ask for? Girls, think Greg May andDerek Kamstra.STUDENT LIFE/25 |
