Its away you can express yourfeelings into something visible.The South art classes lastyear included painting anddrawing, stained glass, computer graphics, and photo-art. The activities in theseclasses were widely ranged,from computer animation toart deco to designs onstained glass.In addition, South studentswere able to join an art club.This club met once a week todo art-related activities suchas tie-dying and paintingcars. They also raised money through fund-raisers suchas bake sales. I really havea nice group this year, saidsponsor Julie Matuga. Theyseem to enjoy their work andtheyre very creative.At South, art was not justanother fun-filled class, according to student KevinMitchell. To many students,such as Morrison, it waspreparation for their careers.Many art students at Southplanned to become artteachers or commercial artists. Others were interestedin keeping art as a hobbythroughout their lives.\y^ w42 / ACADEMICSBright light!
