ChrisCollins ran in the 100m dash,Jamie LaFollette finished13th in the 3200, and RyanHill placed eighth in the discus.South finished second inthe SCC and sectional competitions, and tenth in the regional tournament. Southwon five dual meets including an upset over ColumbusNorth. Their only loss cameto crosstown rivals Bloomington North. That was avery competitive meet, unfortunately we came up a fewpoints short, said coachLarry Williams.Jamie LaFollette finishedhis career at South by winning all three of the eventshe ran at SCC, and placing13th in the rain-soaked3200. I thought that winning three events in the SCCwould help motivate the restof the team, LaFolette said.The 4x100 relay team consisting of Chris Collins,Chuck Edwards, Bryan Adams, and Mike Katozzi brokea South record. They ran the4x100 in 44 seconds flat. Itfelt good, said Hill of participating in the state meet.I was glad to be there.
