The toll wastaken as they lost five seniors and had a new first yearcoach, Claire Schaffer.We were disadvantaged as everyone wasnew to each other, explained Schaffer. She added that the teams losingseason could be explainedby a lack of experience, alow shooting percentage,and poor ballhandling.Cara Vaughn led thePanthers, averaging closeto 16 points per game. Shealong with Tara Hamptonwere nominated for theHerald-Telephone All-Areateam. Schaffer said, Carais a really consistent scorer.We relied on her a lot.
