My highpoint was making it toState. Its always beenmy goal—/ focused onit, tried for it, and thisyear I made it.record and had twomore record breakingscores in the shot anddiscus, with 127.6 fordiscus and 403 for theshot put.This season the teamcame 5th in the SCC,sectionals and regionals.Three girls got to thestate meet in fourevents. Gwynn Thayerin the 800 meter run,Lissa Somers in the 1600and Amy McDonald inthe shot put and discusthrow.This years teamconsisted of only twoseniors who possessedquality leadership,stated Coach Jody Duncan.Learning the ropes, freshmanMissy Schwen pushes herself forthe Lady Panthers during a homemeet.
