For those Latin studentsthat were interested, a trip toRome was offered during thesummer of 84.To help raise money for theirtrips the exchange studentsraised money by sellingChristmas ornaments, spices, and cookbooks.Meanwhile, at home, theForeign Language DessertFestival was the highlight ofthe year. While there was noguarantee on the calorie countof the gourmet desserts, students experienced manydifferent tastes. Teachers andstudents brought differentdesserts which correlated tothe various languages.New texts were used in allthe foreign languages last year. These books give more everyday language and contain morevisuals, said Morrow. Two new teachers were added to the department.
