In our town of Bloomington, there aremany things that set us apart fromother towns. Our courthousedowntown is one thing. It went under atwo million dollar renovation programthat was completed in 1984.Students canbe found water-skiing and partying...Lake Monroe, the quarries, IndianaUniversity—these are some of the things inBloomington that, along with the people, make it our town. The lake and the quarries dominate ourtown during the summer. Students can befound waterskiing on the lake, partying atthe quarries, and enjoying the quiet duringthe absence of the 30,000 IU students.Indiana University, ofcourse, is what our town isknown for, and we have asymbiotic arrangement withits students. Althoughsometimes overshadowedby IU, we reap the benefitsof the parties and othersocialevents like the Little 500, otherwise knownas The Worlds Greatest CollegeWeekend, as well as jobs and merchantscatering to the university.Indiana University, Lake Monroe, thepeople in town, even RCA—whatever it isthat makes Bloomington special, were apart of it. From Bryan Park to DunnMeadow, Bloomington is our town, and BHSSouth is our place. Our townOur town is filled with a great manyeating establishments.
