As many as 15 playersdressed for games, and between 10 and 15got some playing experience.Several reserve players (freshmen LisaBaker and Glenda Rice; sophomores BevSpeer, Kim Schutte, and Connie Volz; andjunior Carol Korb) also played varsity.In an effort to equalize Souths girls andboys sports programs, a freshman teamwas created. Hidore, varsity coach GeorgiaTidd, and IU student Karen Preforiuscoached the freshman team.The freshmen were divided into A and Bteams. Hidore felt the teams had a goodseason.
