Description: off fo the (boat) racesAt the end of each year of Souths AP physics class, students in theclass get to participate in a fun project where they build boats madeout of cardboard and duct tape. Students are allowed to build theirboats either individually or as a team. Once the students build theirboats, they get to go to Souths pool to race against their classmates. While a few of the boats began to sink at the end of the race, most ofthem completed the race intact. The class enjoyed this projectbecause it was a fun way to incorporate the things they had learnedin the class into the way physics affects the real world.I.
