The South Jazzroutine is completely differentcompared to other schools, givingthe team an edge duringcompetitions. This has an overallpositive effect on theirperformances, allowing the groupto place first in Jazz at several oftheir competitions.pomPom is a technically-oriented dance that focuses on sharp, clean moves that are allin sync. This routine is incredibly difficult to master, and the South dance team spent theentire 2017-2018 season perfecting these technical moves during practice. SeniorMontana Addison enjoys the dance, but said that it is difficult due to having to staysharp the whole time. These sharp dance moves makes the entire performance lookclean and professional an integral aspect of dancing that draws the audiencesattention. The pom routine also uses pom-poms, props that help the dancersmovements look uniform throughout the dance. (I enjoy that) all the moves has aspecific place, said Addison. The specificity is a characteristic of Pom that is uniquecompared to other dances the team performs.-Sarah Brown94Brandon Queenfreshman |
